BIOGRAPHY

Acrux Edmund Blythe (born 2 April 18xx) is a British pure-blood wizard, the second son of Paul Botwulf Blythe and Elera Pandora Eastaughffe-Blythe, and the eighth heir in the line of succession for the House of Blythe. Raised within a rigid patriarchal structure, he was taught from infancy that men are inherently superior to women, whom the family views primarily as instruments for childbearing — "baby factories," in the vernacular of the household — necessary to perpetuate the Blythe lineage and its perceived glory. This doctrine has contributed to the family's ominous reputation; they are widely considered a cruel and unsafe environment for women. Social observers have long noted that at royal banquets or society gatherings, the Blythe men are never accompanied by their sisters or heiresses, only by their wives, fostering dark rumors about the fate of the family's daughters.As a designated heir, Acrux was subjected to an exhaustive education from a young age, pressured to excel in all disciplines deemed essential for a pure-blood scion: advanced magical theory, practical spellwork, music, academics, and martial training. By the age of ten, he had achieved notable proficiency in piano and violin, mastered a repertoire of defensive and offensive charms, and become skilled in hand-to-hand combat, archery, and swordsmanship. His primary motivator and overseer is his paternal grandfather, Benjamin Cuthberht Blythe, who has shown him marked favoritism. Benjamin has promised Acrux that he will become head of the family, provided he demonstrates unwavering obedience — a condition Acrux has thus far met without question.The event fundamentally altered his perception of his grandfather. Benjamin's cold, approving demeanour during the ritual transformed him in Acrux's mind from a benefactor into a figure of primal terror, ultimately becoming the boy's personal boggart — the embodiment of his deepest fear. Forced into premature adulthood, Acrux has internalized the extreme ideologies of his house. He has been rigorously taught to despise Muggle-borns, whom the Blythes view as magical "cheaters" unworthy of their power, and to disdain half-bloods, believing that any intermingling with non-magical people dilutes pure magical lineage. This indoctrination has instilled in him a deep-seated sense of pure-blood superiority and entitlement.In keeping with family tradition — where the eldest sons attend Durmstrang Institute — Acrux, as a later-born son, was enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. To strangers and classmates, he appears as the epitome of aristocratic wizard arrogance, a callous and cynical individual whose demeanor is cold and aloof. He is notoriously unfriendly to those outside his immediate circle, often meeting new people with a palpable hostility—one might imagine a cat with its fur bristled, ready to strike. His interactions are frequently laced with sharp sarcasm and impoliteness, a rudeness he only curtails in the presence of professors and family elders, well aware that disrespect toward authority would bring unbearable punishment from his grandfather, Benjamin.

Beneath this abrasive surface lies a deeply indoctrinated and dogmatic worldview. Acrux is vehemently intolerant, routinely using slurs like "mudblood" and viewing Muggle-borns and half-bloods with undisguised contempt as diluters of magical purity. He is often cruel and inconsiderate, speaking with a brutal straightforwardness that shows little regard for the feelings of others, a trait that seems a direct inheritance from his family's reputation. This cruelty is paired with a quick temper; for a boy of his stature, he possesses a significant anger issue, making him impatient and grumpy when challenged or inconvenienced.
